Oh, so the big tree is going into the big hole that was obviously perfect for a big tree?Im shocked, honestly.
Nordrassil wasn't destroyed just damaged. They aren't respecting their own settings history nor the 'fantasy identity' they made for the Elves in having them move their 'homeland' and capital to lands they have literally 0 history with. These aren't humans: humans in Warcraft only connect to their land via traditional land ownership and being raised there, and this is strong enough the Gilneans get their own city back finally- but the Night Elves have a tangible supernatural spiritual connection to the land. Creatures like Chimaera native to it have adopted an emphatic bond with their collective race, and their souls are so connected they not only tend to stay there when killed, but they are willing to blow up their own souls to continue protecting those lands.Night Elves still having minor presences in their actual homelands is hollow when the narrative of the patch says they collectively, as a race, have no home without the tree. At best, it shows they're completely divorced from any connection to it- a connection that made Warcraft 3 Kaldorei so fierce that Grom Hellscream called their chaff "perfect warriors" when he met them. If Amirdrassil itself was just some minor pilgrimage spot and they acknowledged the true homeland of the Kaldorei is Kalimdor, then fine.
Cant wait for Archimonde's ship to crash in Valdrakken and then use the tree to fuel the barbeque fire.
I fully expect the Dragon Isles to be abandoned. Hope for it honestly. They’re quite boring and it’s going to be crowded as hell with all these races and flights making it their home.Putting Amirdrassil here instead of having that seed help begin to regrow Teldrassil is a massive L and Night Elf fans are right to be mad about it.
The big question is will this be a proper capital city for the Night Elves? I find it hard to believe they’ll pvp flag all Horde players for being in enemy territory.
Wow a new world trer, I guess tree's were overrated anyways
I feel like they're incredibly out of touch with this decision. There's nothing satisfying with this location and I think if anything they should've postponed it even further to find a more logical place. I was hoping for a tree with the capacity to host a city the size of Darnasuss at the top and caves and nooks inside it in maybe a revamped Ashenvale, which would be perfect. In Feralas with Dire Maul as a base city around it too could work. Nordrassil would be better or even Shaladrassil now that it's been cleansed but then the whole questline would make little sense. On that note, I'm very happy we see the effects of a raid so soon, which I think should've been done to many places years ago to make, for example, Suramar a place to inhabit now that the raid has been defeated. So I'm happy about that.
Night Elf players: Waaaah we never get anything! Why don't you like us Blizzard?Night Elf players when Blizz gives them things: Waaaah we don't want that thing! How dare you do this to us Blizzard!Btw you should probably flag your opinion pieces as such, rather than passing it off as news.
Is it possible that we will see Night elves created in a future expansion, being born on this map?and couldn't blizzard have put the world tree in place of the old one? From my point of view, it's time to start abandoning certain very old things, do we really need WoW classic Layers that no one visits? Now with WoW classic available?
