The quality of these cutscenes is getting pretty good, I hope that this is how it will look in Dragonflight. I assume Anduin is staying in the Maw to "find himself" or whatever, but will no help Sylvanas because it is her punishment.
Hmm. I was sure they were going to icebox him for longer than that.Still, not bad. I know he's not many people's favorite character. Certainly not mine (being Horde), but I am curious where his story will go next.
Why is he doubting himself now?
This scene felt very schizophrenic and shallow. That may have been their objective in the way they crafted the dialogue and music, but it was still unpleasant and unsatisfying to watch.
Was hoping we'd be done with sylvanas but I guess not, hopefully no more of her after shadowland's over and onwards
Anyone that can explain to me why Anduin's ingame model doesn't match the cinematic one? Is it simply just too high res? Like they use a model for these cutscenes, can't they just simply put that one instead of the one we got now? If you compare for an example Thrall or Jaina's model they look similar while Anduin doesn't imo.
I thought that was a story decent cinematic all things considered.
Because the folks at WoWhead didn't tell you how to access this cinematic:Once you finish the Lordaeron questline, return to Oribos. Go to the upper ring that lets you jump into the Maw and Dori'thyr, the owl that Tyrande sent with Sylvanas, will have a quest for you. The quest is just the cinematic and that's a wrap on their stories.
I like it mostly, I just think it's a bit odd Anduin is going to.. "find himself" or even just have "time to think" in the Maw.... like what?.. why pick arguably the most dangerous/insane part of the Shadowlands for some reflection time if he's going to be alone? Had he chose to stick with Sylvanas at least he'd have someone to relate to, and overall a companion in that miserable place. Just seems bizarre to me overall.. even if you argue he could feel like this is his own "punishment" for his "crimes" he still could've gone off anywhere else to find himself, not the Maw by himself... 🙃 also, assuming the Maw still doesn't have easy means to go inside and out of it, how is he going to deal with that down the road?.. like is he just stuck there now? 😂 I guess we'll cross that bridge when it comes 😂
>anduin cannot forgive himself for what he did while under the controll of the jailer>anduin can talk and treat sylvanas as some one who can do that despite her literally killing an extremely high amount of purely civilian night elves and other numerous war crimesIt feels so tone deaf, considering his father went through the exact same thing and lived through that, you would think they would have handled this better, also of all the characters not to bring back, why would it not be varian, a much more compelling questline would revolve around either us finding his fathers soul and them discussing the issue or even some one easier to relate to like uther (as some one who had a split soul and felt abandoned by the light). I guess sylvanas feels a little more human here but other then that I feel sorry for anduin being used as character development for sylvanas
This is so well animated for an ingame cutscene.
We can't even get a patch without sylvanas. Anduin was completely dominated by the jailer, Sylvanas committed genocide and other horrific crimes of her own free will. Just get rid of the entire wow story team at the point.
I like Anduin finally accepting, he´s not as pure as he thinks. It is incredibly proud of him to think he was so pure the Light always answered him. He always saw himself as good peaceful leader, but we all have our dark sides. Perhaps it´s time for him to accept his. Also i like that in this cinematic Sylvanas is now basicly his therapist. XD
Sorry duped
