So the we got the "we the Aspects must retire, this is the age of mortals" in Cata, which was then was followed by the entirely nonsensical "scratch that age of mortals thing, we must reclaim our Aspectral power" motivation in Dragonflight that was entirely out of left field, abstract, and unrelatable. We then had all the drama about the 'oathstones' and the 'uber super first one mother oathstone' that were a huge nothingburger and seemingly just the wow writers' obsession to have 5 mcguffins with no context or explanation, which ended being a hollow and unexplained goal. And now, we find out that it was trash by design, because they unironically went for..."The real Aspects are the friends we made along the way. Together. Family."And this is the storyline that Danuser had full freedom to write, that was "entirely his baby". It's an absolute joke. And of course, instead of the Aspects blessing the World Tree, the World Tree makes Azeroth bless the Aspects because subverting norms and expectations for the sake of subverting expectations is good writing apparently. Also completely disregarding the fact that the Titans didn't divide the dragons, the dragons were divided between being an apex predatory species that preyed on the other creatures of Azeroth, and then most of them being cowards who hid from Galakrond the uber hungry predator, and the Aspects were singled out because they actually stood up for the others and defended people. Azeroth could have blessed the dragons at any point if they were truly united or worthy of being defenders of Azeroth - but they weren't.
Well, I am glad there was a follow-up cinematic that at least explained what happened in the first one. It feels a little too much like the cinematic after Deathwing's death. People didn't like it was just the dragons RPing amongst themselves. And this time they didn't even acknowledge Fyrakk's death.Still, it was a prediction of mine, after the dragonflights donated their remaining essence to Azeroth in Battle for Azeroth, that it would be Azeroth that would empower them in the end. So I'm glad that is the road things ended up going down. It's just unfortunate Fyrakk's death and everything with the tree itself happened "off-screen".
Such a Power Rangers ending...
Wait, but this is nonsense!Because of Magni we all know Azeroth is a titan. Everyone knows she is a titan, why are they saying it's not titans magic when it clearly is?Why is Vyranoth not super pissed a titan just grasped her when she despises them?
I agree, it was 'meh.' The sad part for me is that the upcoming expansion, in terms of its storyline, also sounds boring to me. I hope I am wrong.
Anticlimactic cinematic like the last handful of last raids for an xpac. Par for the course at this point. Oh well, hyped to move on a continue the story in the next chapter.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWhat tf is this chatting up family values, Avenger Alexstraza was better than thisThis is so pathethic i can't even.... after what they did in BFA SL AND NOW DF, don't make anymore end cinematics pls put those resources to better use.
For a Dragon expansion, this expansion is really lacking the DRAGON ASPECTS doing cool dragon stuff in their dragon form
Stage set for the azeroth vs void vs void vs titans.
As usual, people hate the ending. What did you expect? Armageddon? World in Flames? Dragonflights now fighting each other?Seriously, WoW would be better off without you whiners and karens.
I'm so glad I have adblock enabled because I would be angry to support putting spoilers right in the ^&*!ing title
This feel way too Saturday morning cartoon for young children.Sincerely hoping The War Within is a return to form. This is just flat out boring and has been for a while now.
I think My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic may actually be less literal and heavy-handed with the "friendship is magic" thing than this...
I expected nothing and was still disappointed.I can't imagine playing this game for the lore/story at this point, it feels like this was written for 5-10 year olds.
