Dear Chromie, if my calculations are correct you will receive this quest immediately after you saw the hourglass struck by lightning.

Chromie may still be stuck in a time loop and not appear where you need her to be, but you can draw her out by restarting your time crystal, (re-log) she'll appear on the platform.

If this quest bugs out for you like it did for me (nothing happens after picking it up), just log out and log back in. Chromie will unbug.

The cut scene for this might be the best one I have seen in the game. It seems like they did motion capture and accurate face movements. Most cut scenes look like 1970s dubbed Kung Fu movies.

Best cutscene so far this expansion. Absolutely love it. Chromie's facial expressions alone made me tear up.

Nozdormu's companion in the cutscenes is wearing Robes of the Battleguard, but what ARE those shoulders? Need for xmog!

I agree the cutscene was very good. In fact, the whole quest line is the best I've seen in wow for a long time.
I know it's been buggy for a few people. But at least it feels a little different from the "fetch this", "kill that", 13 a dozen quests we usually get. I can live with a few bugs, if we get better writing.
The map in the murloc timeline was a nice touch, too.
Loved this. More quest lines like this, please, Blizzard!

Warning, if like me you have depression, anxiety or schizophrenia, the whispers here can be quite jarring.
In myself, it triggered a pretty bad depressive episode. (I know what people without these issues might say, if I'm this delicate, I shouldn't be playing video games, or whatever.)
But instead of complaining about it, which I'd love to do, but I won't. I'll suggest what helped me.
Turn your game sound off Control + S by default. Then click combat log, so you can't even read those old god whispers.
Having awful voices popping up saying "You will die" and "Your friends will betray you" is pretty awful. When you have to deal with voices saying that kind of thing when it's not the game sound.
Much love to my fellow people with mental health issues. Hopefully we'll see a brighter future some day. <3
(Just remember to turn your sound back on when you leave, the cinematic with chromie is VERY cute!)

Hi all

I present You Storyline Big Time Adventurer. This Storyline is part of Just Don't Ask Me to Spell It which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order i'm done:

1. Tumbling Through Time - Speak with 3 NPC: Soridormi 59.5 82.5, Siaszerathel 59.3 82.2, Andantenormu 60.2 81.7. Then Speak with Nozdormu wait until conversation finish.
2a. To the Future! - Use portal and speak with Soridormi
2b. Temporal Tuning - Use portal and fly 47.8 40.8 then use under Flying dragons Chrono Crystal.
2c. Resistance Isn't Futile - Inside portal after finish To the Future!. Heal 10 Injured Resistance Fighter there are a lot of them lying on the ground.
2d. Making Time - Inside portal after finish To the Future!. Kill mobs to get 30 Elemental Essence.
6. Return to the Present - Use orange portal to go back
7a. Temporal Two-ning - Use portal and fly 61.7 61.8 then use under Flying dragons Chrono Crystal.
7b. To the... Past? - Take the portal and speak with Andantenormu.
7c. Murloc Motes - Inside portal after finish To the... Past? Collect 12 Temprgrlglr Mote this are a orbs you just need to cross them. is above the fire
7d. Mugurlglrlgl! - Inside portal after finish To the... Past? Slay 25 small murlocs and 5 Big murlocs.
11. Deathwingurlugull! - Jump on Murloc Hopper and use all skills to take down Deathwingurlugull.
12. Back to Reality - Use orange portal.
13. On Your Mark... Get Set... - Use orange portal.
14. Race Through Time! - Use have 3min 10 sec to get to portal 15.2 58.5 ( any one look what will happen if you will not get on time ? ). To move fast cross buff and avoid white circles that will slow you.
15. Chromie Time - Go to 53.3 44.2 and use Chrono Crystal. CARE ON EYE !
16. Back to the Future - Defend your allies until 100% then movie will start. After speak with Chromie ( is small NPC XD ) another movie will start, After You will get new dragon Cliffside Wylderdrake.
17. Moving On - Speak with Alexstrasza the Life-Binder at the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken. Speak with him and after finish this Quest You will be able to do World Quests, Weekly Quest and Adventure Mode.

I don't think people are talking about the real big thing during The Black Empire portal chain. There are 4 voices talking to you during the whole ordeal, each supposed to represent the 4 old gods.

1. Piercing Presence
2. Maddening Presence
3. Observing Presence
4. Knowing Presence

I'm guessing 1 is Y'shaarj, 2 is Yogg-Saron, 3 is C'Thun. 4 is definitely N'Zoth.

The first 3 are constantly blurting random lines. The weird thing is N'Zoth doesn't and his actual lines seem scripted. During the previous quest, he'll say the following upon reaching certain areas

"I... know you. What you were. What you will yet be."
"You will follow him to the deep places. The dark waters will flow in his wake."

When you get to the fight sequence during this quest, he starts blurting out more stuff.

"With many eyes, they will see again. They will drink, and be uplifted."
"Deeper, deeper its roots will reach. Welcoming our embrace."
"Her dreams sing beneath the surface. Our dreams. Our song."

For anyone unaware, the old gods are supposed to be above time and can see past, present, and future. N'Zoth especially was constantly being cryptic about future events, with him referencing the events of Shadowlands, to the future theories that N'Zoth phylactery'd inside The Black Blade, or we'll eventually be clashing with Y'rel and Turalyon.

Could this be referring to Murozond? N'Zoth's return? Xal'atath plotting something?

I was thoroughly creeped out when I popped up in the Black Empire, and of course had to explore. The big pit near the middle is reachable if you're a Drachtyr/DH but you'll hit a kill trigger as you fall in. Interestingly it's given a name despite us never going into it.

Therazane will one-shot you. I accidentally aggro'd her and she started casting a spell named "This Is Gonna Hurt!" that did massive damage. The flavor text on the spells says she was not amused at your attempt to attack her.

Feel free to run up to the big black shadow monster eyeball thing on the final platform if you like. I expected it to kill me, but it doesn't do anything; it's simply a flat texture with transparencies that blocks you from going further.

Once again blizz has dropped the ball on what could have been an epic easter egg of some kind. I'm just now playing this on one of my alts who is a void elf shadow priest, equipped with Xalatath and still has "the gift" from BFA. Not a single reference to any of that in the slightest.

Description

We're not going to fall through time anymore but we're far in the past. Waaaaay far in the past. "The Titans Haven't Visited Azeroth Yet" far in the past. Getting home is going to be... tricky. But we dragons can do it! We're going to need you to keep those Black Empire minions off our backs though. It shouldn't take too long! I think. Probably. Don't worry about it! Just keep those creepy monsters away and we'll handle the rest! Easy!
