The Diablo 4 shop is fine the way it is. nothing crazy like it should be. Lets keep it that way.
Normally I don't criticize WoWhead articles but yeah this one is dumb.Let's not encourage blizzard to double down on their greedy cash shop please?
I've never seen such pandering before. There are a LOT of options in D4 as it currently stands. Believe me they're getting their money. I don't see a Unicorn rainbow happy horse coming to D4 anytime soon. You're in a magically diverse world where 90% of humanity was wiped out less than a generation ago. Be glad there are people in that world that can craft clothing maybe clothing that looks aesthetically pleasing isn't on the top of their to do list.
He right though, the mogs they been making for Diablo look plain AF
I think you're making the wrong complaint re: the transmogs, really. The problem is less that they're boring and more that they're grossly overpriced for how undistinctive they are.
The less reasons I have to visit their stupid shop, the better I say.
Not only is the shop transmog terrible, but the pricing for this terrible transmog is insane..
- If you're a collector and you make cash shop items part of what you're striving to collect, that is on you.- If cash shop cosmetics are ugly and no one buys them that is obviously going against what a company would want. They are planning on revenue from that source. That is definitely a problem. They are most likely keeping a close eye on how many purchases there are of these things and will pivot strategies in the future accordingly.-Personally, I'd be fine of these items keep staying ugly so I have absolutely no desire at all to pay any more money.- Anyone else dislike the fortune teller like animation when you go to the store tab and just wish it would show you the goods immediately?
Removed MTX on full-price games is an infestation...
And because people like the one who wrote this article is why we deserve all the greedy monetization that we can get from Blizzard or any company.Diablo 4 dev did say they wouldnt tied the "cool"transmog to the shop only and so far they seem to be delivering on that promises, keep the "cool" transmog into the game and incentivize your playerbase to work for those ingame.
I just love how laughable that shop is overall - not only does it sell cosmetics in a game where no one will ever really notice them, they're also exclusively plain, terrible and look like white items for level 16. For regular players, that is amazing because there is no temptation at all.
this is the worst wowhead post i have ever seen. how about just putting good transmog into the base game and not into a ingame shop for a full price game with seasons...
What is this article? Bruh. I hope the shop continues to be as unappealing as it is. I don't want to spend a dime in there ever.
This is under the news category, whilst this is an opinion piece (a bad one at that).
This is probably the worst article I've read on this site. Ingame shops are a cancer to the gaming industry, even for cosmetics.
The less shop the better.
If I speak...
I like the way the shop is... If anything they should allow you to purchase items from within a bundle individually, which then reduces the price of the bundle if you decide to get the full thing down the road, but I don't want them to take the route of Path of Exile which charges WAY too much money for cosmetics, are you kidding me? Absolutely not. And until D4 is truly in on-going MMO territory where purchased cosmetics aren't just invalidated after a few years due to an entirely new game coming out, it doesn't need to have the same amount of things to purchase with real money as FFXIV, a game full fledged MMORPG chock full of social features with a decades-long operation plan. I like to purchase the occasional cosmetic in my live-service games, but yikes.I'm actually so irritated that you would post Path of Exile's famously over-priced cosmetics as an example of a good shop, and use an image of a 100 dollar bundle as something you want Blizzard to impose on it's players. Ick.
