I smell image laundering. Everyone knows about that lawsuit, the allegations of the problematic culture and much worse. Booking an all woman band for the first Blizzcon after that broke smells like an image management choice. An attempt to say they've changed (said but not shown given what the outgoing female co-ceo said when she left). That and probably trying to market to a younger demo, not that it'll work. If anything the Overwatch franchise I would think would fit with and/or its demo like this kind of thing but Overwatch 2 kind of killed their reputation among many demos but especially the young and more female (already distressed and injured by aforementioned scandals).But I guess it could be trying to say something about the next WoW expac and mobile game. We'll have to see.Much as I'd like to see Blizzard really change the verdict is still out how committed they are to real representation.

I love the stereotypicsl nerds calling the sky is falling because a kpop band is going to blizzcon. So what? Csnt you accept others have different tastes? Metallics muse linkin park were at their height but now kpop is the popular thing. if you dont like it just dont watch. I for one will check it out as boybands never appeased to me but this could be good.

Maybe they could have Rhapsody of Fire, that will fit with Dragonflight. I'm guessing that the most visitors are mainly WoW players anyway?
Couldnt care less what band plays at Bliz con, but K-pop wouldnt have been my choice had I been hired to decide. What matters for blizcon is wow reveals. Not just words we want to hear, but information about what is going on for the future of the game. Will our mounts stop forgetting how to fly when new content is released? Will pvp balance be attempted/will new pvp content released? Can we move to a rez where you died philosophy in raid plz? The walk of shame in raid is just timegating.
Didn't surprise me , still out of touch with the community. Zoomer trends in a millenial dominated community. I'm pretty sure 10 zoomers playing blizzard games are happy.

Haven't heard of them, so I went and listed to their music and wow. That's uh, certainly a choice by Blizz? I'm sure someone is fan. Somewhere.
Would prefer Twice, Blackpink or Red Velvet but sure, why not. People in the comments seem to have missed the concert is tied to Overwatch which is very popular in Korea (or at least used to be), one of its most iconic characters (D.va) is Korean. Not to mention Kpop collabs worked great for Riot, and LoL is similar in style to most Blizzard games. Diablo not so much but Overwatch and WoW can work.
