An overall ambitious Blizzcon, but also underwhelming. Hopefully that alpha will be available in January.
Very underwhelming imo. A few QoL changes, pretty zones, but nothing really new or special. I can’t see any expansion selling features so far.
I think there’d be a lot more pessimism if the war within was all they announced. Hope this trilogy gamble pays off. Midnight is probably the one that has me most concerned as a blood elf main.
I wish more information had been posted / collected. Like the Earthen's classes not being listed. I had to search for that elsewhere when I wondered if they could be paladins or not, it would have been helpful if it were here. Also disappointed about the lack of artwork on their post, Blizz showed a lot of nice artwork for them that you could have screenshot.
They really leaned in on the whole sword situation, lol...
Pretty meh honestly. I still want info on any new class combos.
They tossed out Hero Specs because there is no new class - but they could have at least put a timeline of on other classes becoming available to everyone. Like Shamans in 10.2.5, Druids in 10.2.7 and Paladins for Prepatch.
11.0 will comically flop. Theres is nothing new to look forward to but delves. Just improvements on current systems and QoL that should have been in the game long ago
I mean, I'm optimistic. For me it's all about what they do to make the game better permanently. And they're doing a lot. Dynamic flying. Permanent, good change. Warbands, huge step to make the game better. Permanent, good change. Small thing maybe, but UI improvements. Permanent, good changes. Hero talents. If they make them right, and keep them in the game and build on them at the end of the expansion (TBD), could be huge. The start of a specialization system. Delves. Again, If this feature truly becomes another pillar of wow (unlike Torghast), is fun, and doesn't go away at the end of the expansion, could be huge. Permanent, good change. Cross-Realm guilds ? You guessed it. Permanent. Good. Change. True, a lot of this is conditional on their ability to deliver (which ... huh ... yeah, we'll see). But, based solely on what they announced, I don't know how people can say there's nothing, or it's all bad. I do not know how you guys do it. But, I'm hopeful. With caution. Sure, I wanted to see changes to M+, housing, tackling addons, old world revamp and more. But this, in term of features, beats Shadowlands, BFA, Dragonflight, or any modern expansion by miles (for me).I'm curious. People saying there's nothing good. What did you want ? What's your list ? Not judging. Just want to compare mine and yours.
There was genuine excitement in the crowd when they talked about closing a chapter and opening a new one for "the next 30 years and beyond". I think everyone was hoping for a Wow2. This was a letdown.
What has me most concerned is firstly that they provide a 3 day early access to people who pay 90 euros in a game where you pay 50 euro for an expansion and also have to pay 20 euro per month for a subscription. There goes any and all goodwill they have left.Secondly, they very concerningly spoke about increasing the speed expansions wrap up. I am NOT going to pay 50 euro every year for a new expansion.
