New Hero: Mauga

Mauga is playable in Overwatch 2 right now!
Mauga was first introduced in an Overwatch short story in 2019.
Mauga is the first Samoan hero in Overwatch (Mauga means mountain in Samoan). Blizzard has worked with cultural experts and Samoan tattoo artists to bring Mauga to life.
He can charge in alone or stick to his team. His passive abilities allow him to perform well alone.
Mauga's guns (called Gunny and Chacha) are hitscan, meaning you will hit the target as long as you have the enemy in your crosshair. They are the biggest guns in Overwatch.
Naming Mauga's guns started as an internal joke between the developers.

Mauga's Abilities

Blizzard

Mauga's role is Tank.
Mauga can light players on fire with his left-click ability (which has synergies with Ash's dynamite ability).
His right-click deals critical damage to burning enemies.

He is immune to all crowd control effects during his Overrun ability.
His Cardiac Overdrive ability makes nearby allies take reduced damage and heals them by dealing damage.
Mauga's Ultimate traps himself and his enemies. He gains unlimited ammo during this time.
Trapping only one enemy in his Ultimate triggers a unique voice line.
