Don't bother killing the mobs. Just run all the way through. At 54, 39 you will lose all aggro. To reach Chromie and Eternus at the same time with your Chrono Crystal stand at 52.60, 42.75.

Going back so far in time and seeing Ragnaros, Al'akir and Therazane in battle with the Black Empire, albeit briefly, was honestly cool as hell.

tldr; if you came to this page, you might be pressing the wrong action button :)

I came here because I was stuck on this quest for an embarrassing amount of time. Could not figure out what I was doing wrong. Well I was pressing the ability button for "temporal displacement" and not the button next to the quest text. Still embarrassing, figured I'd mention it in the event someone else mentally zoned out while doing these and was spamming the wrong button.

From what I can tell, based on the voice lines you hear while in The Black Empire, the presences are most likely the following Old Gods' respective whispers:
Maddening = Yogg-Saron
Knowing = N'Zoth
Observing = C'Thun
Piercing = Y'Shaarj

For those who are wondering, you can go down and kill Therazane (it takes a while, but she doesn’t really do that much damage so it’s more than manageable. If you go further down into the pit (I think it’s called the Maw of Gor’ma) it will insta-kill you though.

What the hell is this Grotesque Bulwark? Literally can't get past it, no matter what. And hey, guess what? It's blocking the path. Temporal displacement is 100% useless.

I see what happened. Somehow a mob from the follow up objective where you have to defend Chromie and Eternus got itself onto the path to them and decided that was its position. Basically had to let everything reset.

Warning, if like me you have depression, anxiety or schizophrenia, the whispers here can be quite jarring.
In myself, it triggered a pretty bad depressive episode. (I know what people without these issues might say, if I'm this delicate, I shouldn't be playing video games, or whatever.)
But instead of complaining about it, which I'd love to do, but I won't. I'll suggest what helped me.
Turn your game sound off Control + S by default. Then click combat log, so you can't even read those old god whispers.
Having awful voices popping up saying "You will die" and "Your friends will betray you" is pretty awful. When you have to deal with voices saying that kind of thing when it's not the game sound.
Much love to my fellow people with mental health issues. Hopefully we'll see a brighter future some day. <3

Hi all

I present You Storyline Big Time Adventurer. This Storyline is part of Just Don't Ask Me to Spell It which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order i'm done:

1. Tumbling Through Time - Speak with 3 NPC: Soridormi 59.5 82.5, Siaszerathel 59.3 82.2, Andantenormu 60.2 81.7. Then Speak with Nozdormu wait until conversation finish.
2a. To the Future! - Use portal and speak with Soridormi
2b. Temporal Tuning - Use portal and fly 47.8 40.8 then use under Flying dragons Chrono Crystal.
2c. Resistance Isn't Futile - Inside portal after finish To the Future!. Heal 10 Injured Resistance Fighter there are a lot of them lying on the ground.
2d. Making Time - Inside portal after finish To the Future!. Kill mobs to get 30 Elemental Essence.
6. Return to the Present - Use orange portal to go back
7a. Temporal Two-ning - Use portal and fly 61.7 61.8 then use under Flying dragons Chrono Crystal.
7b. To the... Past? - Take the portal and speak with Andantenormu.
7c. Murloc Motes - Inside portal after finish To the... Past? Collect 12 Temprgrlglr Mote this are a orbs you just need to cross them. is above the fire
7d. Mugurlglrlgl! - Inside portal after finish To the... Past? Slay 25 small murlocs and 5 Big murlocs.
11. Deathwingurlugull! - Jump on Murloc Hopper and use all skills to take down Deathwingurlugull.
12. Back to Reality - Use orange portal.
13. On Your Mark... Get Set... - Use orange portal.
14. Race Through Time! - Use have 3min 10 sec to get to portal 15.2 58.5 ( any one look what will happen if you will not get on time ? ). To move fast cross buff and avoid white circles that will slow you.
15. Chromie Time - Go to 53.3 44.2 and use Chrono Crystal. CARE ON EYE !
16. Back to the Future - Defend your allies until 100% then movie will start. After speak with Chromie ( is small NPC XD ) another movie will start, After You will get new dragon Cliffside Wylderdrake.
17. Moving On - Speak with Alexstrasza the Life-Binder at the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken. Speak with him and after finish this Quest You will be able to do World Quests, Weekly Quest and Adventure Mode.

If you're an idiot like me, and you got stuck on the last part in Nyalotha, stand in the center of the blue quest circle on your minimap. I couldn't figure out where to stand for the spell button to appear and I was running around like crazy.

For those who are wondering who are the voices that are whispering in your ear during this quest:

Observing Presence: is C'thun Old god that was imprisoned in Anq'iraj the Fallen kingdom, we meet him in Vanilla world of warcraft.

Maddening Presence: is Yogg-saron Old God that was imprisoned in Ulduar of Northrend, we meet him in Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

Knowing Presence: is N'zoth Old God that was Imprisoned beneath the oceans of Azeroth, we meet him in the battle for Azeroth expansion.

Piercing Presence: is Y'Shaarj Old God that was Imprisoned in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms in Pandaria, we meet him in the Mists of Pandaria Expansion.

they were a nice touch in this Quest alongside the Elemental Lords fighting their forces.

While present in Ny'alotha the player will hear whispers from unspeakable presences. As noted by others these are C'thun, Yogg-saron, Y'Shaarj, and N'zoth. The first three are repeated verbatim from their appearances in Ahn'Qiraj, Ahn'Kahet: The Old Kingdom, and Siege of Orgrimmar.

Observing Presence — C'thun

Piercing Presence — Y'Shaarj

Unlike the others N'zoth has new voice lines. It's very likely that Its whispers are foreshadowing future events or lore like Il'gynoth in Legion. It is also the only one to not directly taunt us.

Knowing Presence — N'zoth

Despite being killable The Old Gods are outside the cycle of life and death. They're likely dead but dreaming in The Sleeping City, Ny'alotha. After we tumbled through time and met N'zoth for the "first" time, It now has millennia to develop infinite new uses for us.

Very very cool to see the Elemental Lords here at the Black Empire. However, why was Neptulon missing? I don't know of anything in the lore that would suggest he wouldn't be there with the other three lords.

I left this quest while inside Nyalotha to go run with friends, and had a heck of a time finding where to go back to restart it. Go back to the original portal in Thaldraszus, at the Shifting Sands FP. 60,82

If you for some reason abandoned the quest or exited the place you can restart through the portal in /way 59.96 82.26
Andantenormu the quest giver is in there.

If you are stuck, don't use the action button, use the button by the quest on screen. This will cause it to go to the full 100% you need.

For those struggling... don't use the large action button (within the quest's blue circle). Use the quest's "crystal"

If you fall off into the mote you might as well suicide because there is no way to get out.

Also don't do like I did and assume it's a dungeon instance where you have to kill the mobs. They are just there for decoration. However if you attack them they will one-hit you.
