Do not turn in this quest while submerged. If you do so, you'll get stuck. You can still port, mount, etc., but you won't be able to move anywhere.

Mages, if you have your Blink or Shimmer on a keybind, you can use it without breaking the form. Probably other similar abilities too.

You can Mine (and I assume Herb, etc.) while disguised!

Don't get lost like me. You need to turn this in at the cave. The cave entrance is at 78.74, 39.42.

After you've turned in the quest, all the elementals die, so it's easy to get to the next point.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Vakthros. This Storyline is part of Azure Spanner which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order I done it:

1. Calling the Blue Dragons - Speak with Kalecgos movie will start. After finish You will get new dragon skill Whirling Surge Unlock and Highland Drake.
2. To Rhonin's Shield - Go to 38.2 61.5 use extra bar and from top platform fly to 65.8 25.3
3. To the Mountain - Go to 67 35.2.
4a. Primal Offensive - Defeat 15 Primalists within Vakthros most of them in cave 71 35.5
4b. Lava Burst - Go to cave and Destroy 3 Lava Orb: /way 72.2 37.2 /way 73,1 37.7 /way 73.7 38.3
4c. Elemental Unfocus - Slay Ruvin Stonegrinder 72.8 38.5 to get Elemental Focus.
7a. Primal Power - Kill mobs and on them body use Elemental Focus to get 100%.
7b. Kirin Tor Recovery - Rescue 6 Dying Mage: /way 74.5 38.6 /way 75.3 37.1 /way 75.6 38.3 /way 76.1 37.9 /way 76.5 38.9 /way 76 39.5
9. Free Air - Use skill on extra bar to transform to lava element then Destroy 4 Lava Beacon avoid all circles on ground some mobs can discover You. I was using only skill 1 to move faster. Lava Beacon Location: /way 77.2 39.9
/way 77.4 38.2 /way 78.3 37.5 /way 78.5 38.9
10. In Defense of Vakthros - Slay Korthrox the Destroyer 79 36.4 You can pick up barier to protect you when you will see Kalecgos czating xD.
11. The Storm-Eater's Fury - First jump on Arcane Disc now there will be 3 stages:
- Stage 1 - Kill 150 mobs using skill 1 and 2 ( maily skill 1 )
- Stage 2 -Then Using skill 3 dispell 2 Storm funnels.
- stage 3 - Use skill 1-2 to kill 200 mobs, then movie will start.
12. The Blue Dragon Oathstone - Fly back to 39.5 63 and speak with Sindragosa Movie will start. After that Storyline will finish and you will reach Azure Spanner.

Rogues can Stealth here and the scouts don't see through it like they do when you're in Elemental Disguise. Just sneak over, get a lay of the land, and swap in to Elemental Disguise to click the portal. You can click the portal out of the Elemental Disguise, but since the elite fire elementals will turn hostile if you don't look like one of them, you probably shouldn't do that. It's must faster to sneak around in rogue stealth than to try to avoid the scouts in elemental form.

Yes, rogues cheat. :D

Mining molten deposits will not burn you while in disguise as a lava elemental.

This took me a few tries to figure out. Put on the disguise and spam #1 to get to the orb. Stop under the orb and interact with it, to destroy it. Repeat. But when traveling between orbs, watch for those NPCs which can see through the disguise (circles above their heads, and on the ground). Stay away from the circles.

I hated this quest because I was seen by the NPC that can detect, fly back to my dead body, and resurrect to immediately die over and over because of the cast time that's on the disguise. Try to die somewhere safe I guess.

Worst. Quest. Ever. Look for the "Disguise" button to appear - and don't hesitate to use it!

Because you are so big as an elemental I didn't see the "eye" on top of the Scouts since it was so small.

They can see you're not really an elemental.

I've done this several times so I have a strategy.

The Ember Dash is your friend. Just keep spamming it when you pick a time to move. This will also help you get by all the terrain obstacles which can be real annoying.
Start out with the first Lava Beacon facing you when you get the quest and then go counter clockwise. That way you end up with the one by the cave where Kalecgos is last.
The Scouts only seem to see you if they're facing you. There's a lot of them around so just be careful to go for Lava Beacon's when they've passed the Beacon

Don't get me wrong, I still died sometimes. It's a terrible quest, too many Scouts, too many areas where the fire elemental can't traverse that looks fine, etc.

i must have crawled and flew over and around this a dozen times..
...for the turn in...
land at 78.8 39.2 this is at the far tip of the right wing of Kalecgos by a rocky arch

I managed the quest ok, except the instant you destroy the last orb, your disguise disappears and I died very quickly

Description

The Primalists are using these massive orbs here to hold off Kalecgos. At this rate, Kalecgos will be too injured to continue the fight. If he falls, I won't be able to fend off Raszageth. The empowered gem you hold should allow you to disguise yourself as an elemental to sneak ahead. Use the gem to destroy the orbs. That should give Kalecgos room to unleash his power. I will focus my attention on shielding the tower from Raszageth.
