Oh my god, thank you, Devs.Sucks the past stuff won't get tweaked to be more solo/low pop friendly but if they're gonna remember this lesson into future patches/expansions the world content might end up the best it's been in a long time.
They copy the basics of Guild Wars 2 but not the true meaning of it,being the horizontal progression!
If they can make the buff retroactive for older public events, it'll solve many of the inevitable issues when the expansion is over and nobody is going to be around (or even just if you want to do them in quiet periods at night).
Man, I feel like if WoW world events were actually fun. I wouldn't have to be told how fun they are all the time by the devs.
Thank you devs for trying this new system out. I hope it's a success and will be applied to previous community events!
Nice to see something like this. Now go and make some changes to The Storm's Fury event so you can solo it.
This is a good change, but it's also kinda sad that you have to anticipate people doing your "super cool new event" solo. Maybe if they didnt' suck so much, there wouldn't be a need for such contingency plans.
Well it's about damn time Blizz recognised the complete death of all the open world events.
Something needs to be done; I've given up on the researchers under fire event as I can never find anyone doing it (I'm still working on moleman rep). Fyrakk event still seems to be popular, or at least doable with a minimum number of people. New open world content is good, but not when it's rapidly obsoleted.
I'm happy to hear this since I'm used to ArenaNet bringing back content that failed. A case in point is they introduced rifts, which failed because it was hard to find enough people to do them. And a whole expac based around them somehow seemed like a good idea.
Thank you, devs! This sounds fantastic. Public events should be something you can just show up and do in your own server. It would be great if events like Researchers Under Fire could be made soloable as well, even with something like a simple buff that increases damage and regenerates health.
They still haven't done anything with Zaralek Cavern rares. The fact that rares scale with your ilvl is just bad design.
