10.2 launching in a couple of DAYS? rip glad grind
This is a whole lot of :chatting: reiterating/almost copypasting the last 5 wowhead posts saying the exact same information about the fact this is the last raid without a doubt. It's pretty likely there's gonna be some other fated season unless the next xpac drops literally during the beginning of summer but my god what was the point of this.
A couple of days? Bruh it's almost 2 weeks from now
TLDR: Yes to last raid, No, to last tier.
Couple of days, couple of weeks, same thing, right Wowhead?Jfc.
Blizzard has found a new model to milk us for even more money :D More frequent expansion packs and less patches!
the final "tier" from shadowlands wasn't a celebration tier it was just a way to fill the time between before the next expac because they botched shadowlands so hard. Legion was their streamline patch release pace that worked really well and they're at a similar clip with the smaller patches. going from .1 to 1.5 to 1.7 before .2. Shadowlands shouldn't be taken as an example to what they plan on continuing to do was an xpac full of failures that they admitted
If they plan to shorten the length of expansions to less than two years, they ought to reflect that in the price of future expansions. We know they won't, but they should. Dragonflight was better than Shadowlands, but they still have a lot of improving to do.
I'm fine with it being the last raid primarily because I don't want them to make the FOMO end-of-expansion mount something that happens in multiple tiers. Bad enough we have one (or two, if they have a new 'Fated' mount).I wouldn't have minded if Dragonflight went on a bit longer storywise, but I'd rather cut it here and get to the next one if that mount's time-limited.
highly doubt it will be a november release for the next xpac but nobody would be suprised if this is the last raid tier and going forward every expansion has a season 4 thats just fated raiding
I feel like they're cheaping out with a pre-planned "fated" season. The "fated" season was great in Shadowlands because it wasn't a trade-off with with anything/any content. Now it just feels like cheap fill-in to burn time until the next xpac. I'm also unhappy with less patches/raids overall. It's just less bang for your buck.
honestly not a fan of replacing a 4th raid tier with just some special "best of" season. DF has been fantastic so far, but ending on 10.2 will make it feel unfinished and only 2 major patches an Xpac just isn't enough imo
This will be the model moving forward: more expensive expansion, less content. At least it's not on live development and free QA like Diablo 4 but yeah, it's a new low from Blizzard.
If the new expansion launches in November (or earlier) then yeah I think Emerald Dream will be the last new raid, followed by a "fated" season and some minor patches. If it's January or later then I'd say there will be a final raid after this.
I wish we would have another tier where we face Iridikron. I dont really want to continue with him in 11.0. But I am 100% sure there will be another fated-like season
