I don't know, FOMOing this kind of content seems silly.
This content is great but does it need to be so sparse? im greatly enjoying all the dragon racing content.
Make it permanent!
What's the reasonning again for making such a great event (not happening often...) temporary instead of permanent, which would have no f*cking downside? Haaa yes... FOMO for the degens... Such a joke...
Hopefully they add some more rewards. I did Kalimdor Cup on an alt to make sure I had everything, hoping for something other than 50 valdrakken rep. Maybe some expansion-themed draginriding xmog outfits? One can dream...
I'm actually fine if they aren't always up. But ONE should always be up. If they do every continent, there will be 9 of them, that's a 9 week rotation. But are they skipping WOD? Looks like it... That's a shame, but I suspect that area might be more messed up than the rest since back then was when they were trying to kill flying.I don't even like racing that much but it still seems obvious to me that having them only quarterly is just bizarre.
By the time it starts over we will prob have the new expansion on the PTR, at which time no one will be doing it

By making it scheduled they will see more uptick in people wanting to do it and there being more engagement in the activity. If it was around all the time it would become sparse and sure people would do it but not as much and people would get over it. Having it like this is good and it will be on a regular rotation…surely. But just not all the time like the timewalking events etc.
I figured it would be permanent once they get Dynamic flying in for those zones and the races are just a beta test method.
It seems like these events are going to be permanent (cyclical) and I love it!
I feel like by the time they add dynamic flying to old content, they could just throw in all of the cups permanently. Or at least rotate them monthly, so you always have one up.
Don't make these FOMO ffs, so annoying to forcibly dragonride. Really takes the fun away of such a cool addition.
They should just take it to timewalking - during an expansion's timewalking event you get a 50% rep buff for all that expansion's content. May as well just connect the races to it, too, and make timewalking a proper celebration of each expansion.
I wish the cups were more weekly rather than every few months, but I still enjoyed the Kalimdor one a lot and am excited for the EK one next month.
