You know, the land that they fought and died and went back for, even in the middle of the war, just to reclaim it. And now all the Nelfs this patch are acting brainwashed and nobody is addressing the elephant in the room, as in why exactly the tree literally grown from their souls isn't near their actual lands where most of them lived and died and where most of the survivors continued to live in canon (even though Darkshore and Ashenvale were not revisited ingame, unlike the Forsaken story getting revisited in an updated Lordaeron) and why they are made refugees in the corner of a centaur tuskar region in a land that belongs to the dragons in name, in theme, history, in everything.

Making a sentimental cutscene talking about "healing" doesn't erase the fundamental issue with the location of Amirdrassil making no sense. Friendly reminder that the Emerald Dream has portals to Moonglade, Ashenvale, Feralas, and Hyjal (and Valdrakken has a portal to Mythic Dungeons all over the world and into the Emerald Dream so we wouldn't even had to go there physically, just as the Darkshore and Arathi revamp in BfA was accessed via portals not plopped down on the shore of Kul Tiras) so to pretend as if the game lore wouldn't have supported putting the new home of the Kaldorei on Kalimdor rather than the Dragon Isles must be due to the writing team having total amnesia.Comment by AnaranI’m sure there will be no ridiculously over the top complaints about this, or anything to do with Night Elves.Comment by ReciTerokkarhow is this cinematic more epic than the raid finale?Comment by SilverDragon234Coming soon, Amirdrassil will be Alliance territory. Night Elves have been displaced so often that their only attachment is to a Tree.

This patch's story is about Dragon Isles becoming home to more than just its original inhabitants anyway. Check out the Netherwing and Thorignir stories.dragons, on the Dragon Islesduring BfA they risked abandoning the Alliance in the middle of the war just to reclaim their lands even though there wasn't a single living NElf left there nor a World Tree - that's how strongly they feel about the land.the Nelfs didn't move to the tree, the tree was planted on their land. Teldrassil was planted in full few of Nordrassil just off the shore, they didn't move to wherever a new world tree could be planted, they planted a new world tree where they wanted it to be, right next to their lands.To be clear, it's fine to plant a World Tree in the Dragon Isles. The issue is making this World Tree the "new home" of the Night Elves by choice, and have that be in the Dragon Isles (despite 4 Kalimdorian NElf zones having portals to the Emerald Dream so that the seed and the patch could have taken place anywhere in actual NElf lands)
