one or two handed weapons only need 1 of the weekly currency.. might be a good way to start out with a decent weapon at least

How is the game going to know if you use currency obtained before the patch if it's the same currency? And since it's all fungible how will it determine which is which?

This is neat because you can take the updated Suffused/Dreamsurge gear and convert it into Aberrus tier, extending its life a little. I upgraded a Dreamsurge chestpiece on my paladin at 437, and it looks like Normal mode colors. I upgraded a Time Rift chestpiece on my hunter at 450 and it looks like LFR gear. I upgraded a Dreamsurge pants to 450 and it looks like Normal mode gear. Possibly Time Rift gear catalyses into LFR appearances, Dreamsurge into Normal, and Suffusion into ? Be warned, upgrade them to max before you catalyze them as they cannot be upgraded afterwards.
edit: apparently the gear created from Dreambound tokens and purchased with the new Dilated Time Pods and Dreamsurge Cocoons catalyzes to the LFR appearance, no matter how you upgrade it before or after.Which is honestly a light in the darkness, because the LFR appearances would have been the most difficult to obtain, until there eventually was a solo queue for DF LFR wings.Still, hoping for some way to unlock at least Normal and Heroic Season 2 appearances.old comment:And existing Dreambound tokens were changed to 415, together with the fact that you cannot upgrade S2 gear anymore, this is extremely bad for Transmog hunting of Aberrus Tier (and even non-Tier raid drops), especially for the LFR tint, as you cannot unlock that with outdoor content anymore, just by running the actual LFR.I am still hoping that eventually, unlocking an appearance will also unlock the lower difficulty appearances, e.g. Heroic also unlocks Normal and LFR, and Mythic unlocks all of them.
