Good change, overall! I'm going to try in some pieces, but it is still too expensive, for my gameplay, at least. I liked D3 enchantment system better.
trying to roll crit chance on ring is so scuffed now. already 30 million gold deep and didnt see it once :/
There should be a cap how much rerolling can cost tbh.
Get back to me when it's like Diablo 3 where it shows you what can be there before you waste so much time and resources. Oh and reduce the cost for lower level gear for crying out loud.
This change is a perfect example of the entire D4 development history.- Blizzard invents a problem (priority affix pool)- Blizzard has no idea what they're doing so it's scuffed (Potion Drop Rate was considered Priority)- Since Blizzard doesn't understand why there was an issue in the first place, the subsequent fix is a blanket idea that helps some and screws others. (Rings/Amus)End result is the same system, still dogwater bad, but just different.Yup, that's D4 in a nutshell.
This was a HORRIBLE CHANGE.The occultist feels extremely punishing and not rewarding at all. Since this update, trying to get what were priority affixes in the past, feels almost impossible at times. Instead, this is my usual experience. I get an item with decent rolls, go to the occultist, burn a ton of veiled crystals and gold trying to get what used to be a priority affix, NOT getting it, then take that item to the blacksmith and salvage it because the Occultist is such a garbage experience.So now I've wasted a ton veiled crystals and gold, and if I'm lucky, the blacksmith gave me 1 veiled crystal for the item. What a phenomenal gaming experience.Veiled Crystal and Gold cost is way too high when there are so many affixes in the pool.Why not add Priority Affixes back as a THIRD OPTION on occultist rolls. You satisfy the crowd who complained that priority affixes made it harder to get other affixes, while not ruining the experience for those who were happy with and preferred priority affixes.Or some sort of compensation for such a poor experience, like give players the option to destroy the item and get like 40% of their veiled crystals back.ALSO, movement speed needs to have a higher chance to roll on boots.
