it should have infinite charges or ways to re acquire it otherwise it might as well not exist honestly.
Never great when a table-stakes UI feature is positioned as a 'bonus' that's limited.
Not sure why they changed it from Diablo 3. Respecs should be free at all times. Shouldn’t have to grind out dungeons getting trash to sell just to respec a few skills or paragon points. Free respecs would actually allow experimentation with builds.
OMG WTF is wrong with Blizzard... just have a button that refunds each of the paragon boards on said board... how the *!@# can they not think of normal *!@# like this!
Why are we regressing from d3 armory system? Respeccing seems like such a big commitment that changing specs isn't fun and IMO lessens the fun playing the game, because every spec gets stale over time
Not being able to play around new builds will bury this game. The scrolls should be farmable or craftable
Why not just let it be free? Changing specs already comes with having to reroll and re-aspect your gear. One of the things I hate about PoE is that character experimentation is locked behind an expensive item or having to level a whole new character. What is the gain from having to spend gold to respect or farm one of these? It's just punishment for wanting to experiment and a weight that makes your choices, which may not even be informed if you're trying to play without sticking to a guide, feel punishing and crucial when they really do not need to be.There's already plenty to dump time into at endgame, we really don't need to gamify a "Refund All" button that should just be on the skill window anyway. Who sees this kind of thing and thinks "Oh thank god I can't respec for free I was so worried."
In 9 (nine) different Diablo 4 interviews leading up to the release, the devs said your characters would be unique and 'small changes' could be done. But you would have to make a new character to change everything. The devs don't even know what they are doing.
Add it to the non-season realms too...wtf
Aside from the lack of endgame content (which is a big problem) the real reason I and most of my friend stopped playing was because of the time and cost of respecing. Also the fact we cant even get a way to save even two builds! Its nonsense. Activley discourages people from playing. I wanted to try out new builds but then the game puts so many road blocks up I gave up and went and played some non blizzard games that valued my time and money.
I'm super confused why calls for full resets even exist within the community. In an ARPG isn't it just standard to level a new character if you want to try a drastically different build? E.g. PoE, D2? Plus the long term gameplay cycle around this game (as is the case with most popular ARPGs) is clearly to constantly remake characters and re-level every couple months when a new season drops. So re-leveling is something you are going to have to get used to as it is core to the game. If the idea of re-leveling doesn't sit well with you... this may honestly not be the genre of game for you. It's not built on permanent progression.
I don't understand D4's direction when it comes to Quality of Life.Rerolling gear is expensiveRefunding Paragon/talents gets expensiveStash is awful for people who play many different builds/classesLack of Armory that saves gear/talents/paragon boardsAspects not in codex should at least go into codex when you get oneetcIf they want me to reroll another character to try another build the xp curve needs to be cut down or xp from everything needs a massive boost because 15k from a cellar or side quests when you need 3m+ is horrible.Plus they need more skills and whoever thought earthquake should only be a Aspect and not a skill should get fired.
I don’t really care about the fee aspect of these scrolls but there needs to be a way to fully refund an entire board without having to manually click ever since point off. It’s yet another red flag demonstrating how the entire paragon system was a last minute addition to the game. Zero effort was put into it let alone any concern about user friendliness.
