love this, dragons have always been my favourites!Oddly, amazon uk lists a 21st Nov release.
Why isn't this in the game itself?Oh yeah... $$$. It's amazing how many super hero movies design their characters based off what would sell as an action figure.
man they didn't even bother in make new illustrations they just croped from random places and made a fan made compilation.
I love this stuff, but from what happened with chronicles, im afraid anything i buy is just *until they decide differently* in terms of lore
They've never called something definitive before only to change their minds later, nope
The Dragonflight Codex: A Definitive (until it isn't) Guide to the Dragons of Azeroth.I bought Chronicles Volume I. Not falling for that again!
After the Chronicles? I don't think so, fool me once as they say.
Nah. I learned after Chronicles. Blizzard can't stay consistent with it's own lore.
Definitive, but they had to put in a retcon clause page. Also, the way the artwork - mostly reused - is presented feels... low quality? This is sadly one of the worst looking books they've done. What a shame.
Also, what the hell is going on with Kalecgos' hair?
The new art for the book looks more Warcraft than the models themselves do in-game. Lmao
Oh look Kalecgos! *proceeds to copy Malygos card art from Hearthstone*Blizz really cant tell their own dragon aspects apart?
Definitive until they decide it's too restrictive so they retcon the information in the book.
Blizzard may want to recheck the meaning behind "Definitive" before they'll announce that this book, like most others they put out, are written with a skewed perspective on reality just to excuse their lack of continuity. Art looks cool and all, but I will never buy another book from them again.
"Definitive, but it's an unreliable narrator and will be most likely Retconned whenever we need to introduce the super duper aspects and make everyone else evil."
The scalies on the dev dream have been frothing at the gash for this one.
