Small typo: `it's the pinkish-purpose of the Void` -> `it's the pinkish-purple of the Void`
the tip of the staff looks like the old logo of the hitman franchise
The staff is also quite reminiscent of the Xal'atath dagger. They have very similar eyes on them and the two blades at the tip of the staff are nearly the same shape as the dagger's blade.
I think you're overthinking this way too much - designers just wanted to make something in the titan theme of a current expansion, so they did it.It's not the first time community imagine an intricate story and then having to come to terms with a disappointingly shallow narrative at the end.
The only way for that sword to come out is for someone big to come along and pull it out. Who are the candidates and what would they do with it?
Yeah its definitley a hint.A hint we will get sh rewards like this in future, so they can move stuff that was worth something to be bought with tender and than come out with "tender boundles". Also on a real note this hinting is becoming kinda lame they been using this for far too long, and they cant even use it right, oo what could this mean o ita a hint to this bad guy we know nothing about oo we defeat him but he hints at bigger bad guy, cmon.
The sword and dagger looks like someone repurposed the Heart of Azeroth into a weapon. I agree that someone just wanted Titan-themed weapons.
Rather annoyed there wasn't a 2H sword or mace for my DK
As long it's not void vs light or some legion theme, those are so boring. Give us old gods, dwarves, oldskool WoW themes please.
I'm always baffled by how much people know about this game's lore.I really admire you all conjecturing hypothesis based on really small hints the developers love to lay around. I wish I had this level of lore knowledge and feel I'm missing out on a lot of good stuff by not knowing all of it :(
Idc if it's hinting at something it's still the lamest monthly reward so far and even as far as weapon transmogs go they don't look great.
i'm just waiting for the next xpac where they just retcon everything again
I know there've been complaints but I didn't mind this months reward. I just feel it was a bit half-assed in that they could have added a 2-hander and polearm in there too to make it feel more complete for everyone. As otheres have suggested, even a transmoggable "heart of azeroth" necklace in there too could have been cool.
