So, I don't think we can have it both ways. If we want the devs to communicate more, we can't blast them when they have to walk things back. They will just stop communicating again.Yes the launch had issues, but its a patch, and it happens. Clearly folks don't remember when wow would be down for days at time. I was not able to play on launch day for irl reasons, and in the larger scale of things it could have been worse. I don't want to discount how disappointing it is when you have prepped, and you are waiting on a release only to have server issues. It is VERY frustrating. And Blizz should do what they can to prioritize a smooth release. But, complaining because they took m+ offline when there was an exploit? Seriously, what would you have them do? Or that they delayed a minor feature to sell junk? These things do not ruin a whole patch and if that is what people are focusing on, it feels like people are looking for problems. I did experience the lag in time rifts and I get that. Perhaps I was lucky and didn't experience it to the degree it was portrayed in this video. If most of the issues were with a certain time rift (the ships), Blizz should have just taken that one out of the rotation while they addressed it. TLDR, I like that we are getting more content, pushed faster, and more communication from devs, but if the community is going to explode every time some thing goes wrong, Blizz is going to go back to they way it was. I will accept a few more issues (provided they are addressed promptly!) if it means we stay on this current trend of faster patch cycles and more transparency.
I understand they want to give the illusion of putting out new content in a consistent manner all they needed to do was combine 10.1.5 with 10.1.7..this trickle drip feed content is driving people nuts because the content is buggy mess..I would have rather waited until Oct for all this baby content to come out the season. 3 start in January..there is a solution. Make sure the patches are seamless and smooth..that's all we are asking...it's not rocket science..most of the player base is on vacation June/July/Aug..
welp, augmentation evokers' kicks is another point of how little we can do against griefers :(as for patch candance it is really the other side of the coin, similar to rested vs. tired xp (at the game's dawn you were punished for playing too much)
Honestly, 99.99% of players didn't even notice these bugs. I only login three times a week to run stuff and the only thing I can complain about is that there are too many people at the events and they go too fast. But I'd rather it be that than not enough players. As for the patch cadence?Yeah, just keep this pace for eternity and we good.
