I died in a similar way in my first nightmare dungeon. I got that one effect where the floating symbol creates a bubble that protects you from lightning. I had climbed down a ladder when the thing procced, putting the bubble at the area up top where I had just come down from. As I was climbing back up the ladder, I got hit by the lightning. My character proceeded to finish climbing and then fell over, dead.
Uber Lillith has 1 shot attacks going off for like 6 solid seconds AFTER she dies. The game is just half cooked ya'll. Check back in 3 years.
I thought everyone knew this already tbh. I dunno, I found out weeks and weeks ago about this, bunch of goatmen were throwing spears at me while I was climbing a wall.
Unless you're being pursued by a pack of elites or a Helltide Commander and you're on all cooldowns, common sense is to WAIT for the fireball rain to stop BEFORE doing stuff. If you die like this, you've only got yourself to blame.
This is why I hate helltides, that guy just lost close to 100 cinders just for climbing a rope. Terrible design, did they learn nothing from shadowlands?
Those meteor showers during Helltides are beyond borked and have always been cancer. Just another terrible mechanic in a game chalked full of them.
the term "hardcore" made me think I wouldn't see so many people crying over their character losses.
Anyone who assumed this, obviously has no business playing hardcore.
This was literally talked about week 1 when the game was released
