I don't understand this massive gap in itemlevel between patches.Like why is gear from weekly boxes from Emerald Dream zone on par with or better than mythic raiding from previous patch? Is that a side effect from the upgrade system?
No complaints to the top guilds that currently "have" to do splits etc do to the nature of the World First race, but I wish Blizzard actually managed the world first race. It would nice to have rules and prevention of mass splits to do boss appropriately and not have 10 weeks of gear with in the first week.
"which types of exploits will be actioned and which will be allowed."Exploits should not be allowed at any moment. This should not be a question.
Wouldn't need to know what actions would or would not be taken for what exploits if the race to world first was treated like an e-sport and done on competition realms instead of live realms. Could also ditch the whole split run crap and whatnot by having gear vendors. Have Normal level gear from the current raid be unique equipped (2) and Heroic level gear be unique equipped (1) and then raise each weekly until the cap is no longer applicable. Then everyone has access to the exact same stuff at the exact same rate. Perhaps even have no loot in the raid at all or just for the first week(s). Or just use the unique equipped tag to ensure loot is distributed rather than stacked. They could also have rosters and per player character limits this way.
"I think the rollback was the right thing to do because it would suck to have the race just not happen this tier."What about going back to the roots and just straigh up banning exploiters even in the high ranks? It's not on Blizzard if the RWF guilds rely on exploits to get the edge over somebody playing without exploits. Especially when it is about very obvious exploits like with this seed thing. If so many people in your guild readily exploit that because of them getting banned you can't fill your Mythic Raid anymore, then that might actually make people reconsider.
