So the squidfaced priest was spying on a little boy...Doesn't sound too good now, does it?
I am just so happy to have Metzen back so we can return to common sense storytelling that actually goes together again.
Looks like metzen taking the story in the direction he was originally taking it
The saddest part (to me) is that Anduin's probs gonna end up dead sooner than later with how fast they're aging him. I'm not sure how old he's supposed to be in War Within, but he looks mid 30s, which is quite the jump from the last time we saw him in SL when he was around 18. Lowkey hoping he's actually just mid twenties and he just looks rough in the cinematic because of what he's going through (maybe he literally just came out of the maw at that point?). Anyway, I think we have plenty of more mature characters in the game already (practically every major character) and not enough representation for younger gen. I'm completely fine to see him grow up but I don't want him to go from being like 10 years old in mop to 60 in "the last titan", would rather see him get to like mid 30s at that point, which makes me feel like "he's growing up" with usAlso, I love the expansion's name. War Within: obviously representing the fact we're going underground and fighting nerubians and deal with the heart of the planet. But also signifying the war within Anduin as he struggles against his PTSD.
Anyone else getting Stephen Amell/Arrow vibes from this iteration of Anduin? Just his face, not his voice. Google him if you don't know.
FInally we are returning to the real WARCRAFT, blood, guts and glory!
Amazing.
While I'm as tired of hearing about Anduin as others are about Sylvanas, I'm intrigued to see where this goes. And I'll say again I dearly hope Blizzard eventually does a full, feature-length cinematic movie. The visual quality of that last cinematic was STUNNING - not only the textures, but the depth of expression and emotion they conveyed. In terms of pure technical achievement this is easily one of the best they've made to date.It doubly impresses me how well they can make a non-human face like Thrall's (and talking around tusks!) so evocative and natural too. Major kudos to the dev team.
This Anduin is such a damn cliche fantasy trope. Can we skip the self-doubt stage and get to the "I got my balls back" stage?
